hello,
why after we compute gauss distribution and look at histogram a color map is produced but when i change some option like show NaN/out of range in grey or click a symmetrical color scale the color map on the cloud changes in color ? and these colors explains what exactly ?

I'm comparing between the scans by same scanner between a tooth and the impression of the same tooth by overlapping them and check RMS for evaluating accuracy of impression......

you mean that this error will lead to inaccuracy of my results and the RMS computed is not valid for comparison and research purposes ?

when cloud to cloud distance is computed there are 2 values results: mean and standard deviation , which of these values is equal to root mean square error.

one last question, when sampling the meshes there are two option to sample in numbers and density, which should be my selection knowing my meshes are scanned objects from white laser scanner. and if number of points how many points should i choose ?

thank you for the quick reply, so to ensure proper alignment i should keep on selecting points till i approximately think the alignment is proper then compute the point distance?

I'm trying to overlap 2 meshes to get the RMS, should i make sure that the overlap is 100% to get a correct RMS? when i pick the point of overlap theres a displayed RMS, how much should it be to go on and evaluate the cloud to cloud distance ?

Hello, i would like to ask if i want to cut a part from a mesh is better to sample the mesh and the cut the segment or before sampling, and if i had done sampling will it affect my result . the issue is that when i cut before sampling the triangles are cut from the line leading areas not intended to...
