Aligning a point cloud by GCP and Verticals

Hello,

It's or it would be possible to align (georeference) a point cloud using GCPs and verticals -few sets of points consisting on a point on the low corner of the building ar any vertical structure and another on its upper corner?
The goal would be a height level of certainty of correctly georeferencing a point cloud and a way to fix the situation when having too few GCPs or unevenly distributed GCP.

Well, at least that's not possible currently.
