Geo Referencing point clouds

Post by andrew@premap.co.za »

Hi Ladies and Gents.

I have been trying to reference my scans from a geoslam Horizon to survey control (Spheres).

The cloud(0:0 centre) and the control (9000:2800000 centre)are obviously far appart.

I am shifting the cloud manually to gget it closer to the control. When I shift it the cloud becomes very linear making it impossible to see the spheres.

If someone has a solution to my issue please helpImageImage

Hum, first it looks like you didn't apply the Global Shift as suggested by CC? (one cloud seems to have a strange pattern, typical to when you lose accuracy by keeping large coordinates).

And then the best way to do this is probably to use the 'Align' tool? Have you tried it? (https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... itle=Align)
