Outliers on histogram

Post by zakrzewska.angie »

Hi,
is there any chance to show on histogram how changed numbers of outliers in cloud (after for example noise filtering, csf etc)?

I have two point clouds, both subject to noise filtration, csf algorithm, sor filtration, and I would like to show at each stage how the distribution of points changes and island points / outliers are eliminated. Is it possible to present this with a histogram? Based on calculating the distance from neighbors etc?

Well you can always compute the distances between two states of the clouds of course. But I'm not sure how readable that will be.

Another option is maybe to look at the 'density' at various steps?

I also thought about it, but I wondered if there was another way to present it. Thank you for your answer.
And if there is detailed documentation tool "Calculate geometric elements"?

Not yet. But some of the features were split before in various tools (that are described on the wiki, in the "Tools > Others" menu):
