Is a "Total beginners guide" available?

Hi all,

TLDR;
Complete beginner to Point Clouds. I have 6 scans of a cockpit (Hard Surface) that need aligning and converting to a mesh so that I can then edit in Blender.

Is there a complete beginners guide available that will help me achieve this goal? I feel that these are fairly 'ball park' goals but have a feeling that it's the 'dialling in' of the settings that I could do with some assistance.

Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated.
