Boolean Subtraction - Computation Failure

Post by katebenfield »

I am trying to subtract one mesh object from another. However, I keep getting the error "Computation Failure". I have been using this software for a year or so now and have not experienced this error. How can I avoid getting this issue and complete the boolean subtraction?

Are you referring to the Cork plugin? This plugin is not super stable sadly.

And generally, this issue will happen with not perfectly clean meshes or meshes that have some topology issues. But sadly it can also happen for no good reasons! You can maybe try to rotate the 2 meshes just in case the change of coordinates helps.
