Why can't I save anything?

Hi,

I am new to CloudCompare. I used it for the first time today to make a point cloud into a triangulation. It was surprisingly easy. All I want to do is save it as an .stl file (or any format). However, no matter what file name or format I choose, I can't save anything. Simply nothing happens. There is no file produced. There is no message in the console. I have tried it on computers running CentOS and pop_os (ubuntu). Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Its because both computers had Cloudcompare installed from flatpack. The version from the Ubuntu repositories can't work with cgal for some reason, but the spac installation on CentOS seems to work.
