Reprojection with GCPs

Post by undefined Solutions »

Hello,

I serched online and in this forum but I did not found a solution to my problem...

I have a Pointcloud and two list of GCPs one with an EPSG-System an one custom coordinate system.

Is there a workflow to add the EPSG-GCPs and then match the custom-GCPs?
I am realy new to CloudCompare and feel a little bit lost -.-

Thanks

I guess you can use this tool: https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... itle=Align

And mind that you have to accept the Global Shit when loading the GCPs with an EPSG system (the original coordinates will be applied at export time - and that will be the same for the aligned GCPs)

Ok, this could work but I have ~70 point clouds and 100 GCP over all -.-
and all all GCP manually is not possible...
Perhaps you have an solution for me?

What's the relationship between the EPSG GCPs and the ones with a custom coordinate system?

Are you expecting some kind of auto-matching?

I do not know the exact relationship, I did only get thes two CSV-Files.

It would help me already if it would be possible to load the list of Positions into this align tool...

Indeed!

Are the labels the same on both sides?

Yeah the Labels are on both sides the same points in different coordinate systems...

Can you send me a couple of example files? (global and custom GCPs)

Sorry for the delay in answering...

I have since learned how to move from the coordinate system NAD83(2011) / South Carolina https://epsg.io/6569 into a local coordinate system. I have been given the following parameters:

Delta X: 497104
Delta Y: 338987
Rotation: 32.68° clockwise

Is this reprojection possible in CloudCompare?

Thanks for the effort!

Shifting would be easy (just use these Delta X and Delta Y as Global Shift when loading the GCPs). Then, for the rotation, you should be able to use the 'Edit > Apply transformation' tool?
