Classification Plugin

Post by WigginsTech »

Hi Daniel: It's been a while since I've been on the forum. I wanted to let you know that we have had a couple of plugins developed for cloud compare recently and we have one that we would like to donate to you in the hopes that you can integrate it with cloud compare. It is a point cloud classification plugin designed to apply a scalar field code (Classification) and color to points via a photoshop style paint brush. I have a link below that contains the .dll, a sample classified point cloud and a short screen recording of the basic functions that the plugin is capable of. I would be interested to know what you think and if you need anything else to use it. :)

Hi!

Sorry I totally missed this post! That looks great. Could you make the code available for us to properly integrate it in the official CloudCompare release?

Yes, it's part of the 2.12 release (on Windows at least).

There's not a lot of documentation yet: https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... s_(plugin)

Hello everyone, I'm quite new at Cloud Compare and wondered where I could download the classifiers files for CANUPO plugin.

Thanks in advance.

There were some on the authors webpage dedicated to Canupo (not sure if it's still online), but otherwise you generally have to create them yourself by training the classifier on some sample data.
