Freezes during common tasks

CC v2.13alpha
Macbook Pro M1 Max 64 GB RAM

Frequent freezing (not recovering) while manipulating large point clouds, 250,000,000 points. Not sure if there is anything I can do differently. Its even on simple tasks like translate/rotate. I haven't worked on a PC much, is this a problem with the MAC processor/OS or just its a bit cloud.

Is the 'load points on the GPU for faster display' option activated (and working) on your Mac?
