Hi all,
I would like to create a simple skeleton from a "simple" point cloud that represents the components of the point cloud as polylines.
To give you a better understanding:
Here is my input:
What I want to be created automatically: (I have created the polylines manually with CC)
Note: The polylines follow the mid axis of the components.
Any ideas how to do this with CC or any other point cloud / cv implementation?

I remember that a few months ago, several messages on Twitter were posted about such an application. It was mostly by japanese users (maybe https://twitter.com/O_Hitsuji_san but I'm not sure).
It was based on Scalar field gradient computation and thresholding if I remember correctly.
