Hi,
I have been making thin cross section sideways slices of my point clouds, then generating an envelope for each point cloud slice (0.5 max edge length, upper, nothing else checked). I want to be able to turn off the point cloud slices and look only on the envelopes.
My problem is that the computed envelopes seem to be tied to the point cloud slices - that is, if I turn the slices off (set to invisible) the envelopes disappear as well. Furthermore, this is not consistent - if I play around, some of the envelopes stay on, while others dissapear, and this changes. Of the 3 point cloud slices I have, turning one of them off turns off the envelope for a different slice too. Why??
I've been going spare trying to figure out what the issue could be here, anyone has any idea of how to fix this? (or the reason at least?)
cross section envelope issues
Re: cross section envelope issues
Not sure to understand.
You can avoid creating the slice completely: just uncheck the 'Extract slice cloud(s) or mesh(es)' option when using the single 'Export slice' or the 'Export multiple slice' options.
Otherwise, if you generate the slice, it's normally created in a separate 'group'. So I don't see how making one visible/invisible, or enabled/disabled would impact the other?
