Hello everyone, it's great to have found such a wonderful place where we can solve our questions together.
Currently, I am trying to qualify the quality of a point cloud, and one of the factors I am considering is completeness.
However, I haven't been able to find any existing resources for this purpose.
Does anyone know if there are any functions in cloud compare that can help? Such as hole detection?
Alternatively, if you have any other suggestions or ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you very much!
Matt
How to check the completeness of the point cloud?
Re: How to check the completeness of the point cloud?
Some additional information:
1) I have a "ground truth data" captured by terrestrial laser scanner, while the data i would like to examine was captured by a UAV LiDAR system.

The only metric that would approach this it the 'matching cells' metric output by the 2.5D Volume calculation tool... See https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... .5D_Volume
