RMS calculation formula

Hello Daniel,

I have CloudCompare in my thesis and would like to cite a simplified formula of how the RMS is being measured. Not sure if there is one but I thought I'd ask here to confirm directly from the main source.

More simplified than the Root of the average of square values?
