Issue opening .LAS

Good evening,
I have run into an issue opening a large .LAS pointcloud.
After "Oking" the first two boxes i get the first warning:

And then the second one:

I am unsure as to the reason. This is the latest stable release (2.13.2 Kharkiv (7/08/2024)), and the machein has 128Gb of RAM.

Well, I guess either the cloud/file is massive, or it's corrupted and CloudCompare tries to create a cloud with a ridiculously big number of points...

You could try to use the latest 2.14.alpha version in case it fixes something, but I doubt it will change something sadly.

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for getting back to me.
File size, the cloud is 29GB, and just over 1.1 billion points.

The machine I am using is a brand new build.

The same cloud does open on our other machines, which are 2 years old, 64GB ram, and there running version 12.2.

Would it help if you got a copy of the cloud to test your end?

Just wanted to update you, using the latest alpha build the point cloud loads with no issues.
