Command line : how to choose saving file directory ?

Post by olivier.martin »

Hi,
I have a question about the command line mode.
The command "-SAVE_CLOUDS" is for saving all the new or modify clouds (activate by default), but my feeling is that we cannot choose the direction where the clouds have to be saved with that command and I think that the default directory is the directory of the last cloud loaded in the line ! Am I right ? Is there a way to choose where (the directory of a folder) my new files have to be saved.

Thank you

Olivier

Indeed. I believe that the files are written next to their 'source' file (if any).

There's currently no option to change the default output directory. I'll add this to the TODO list.

Hi,

In command line mode the file which is being opened with CC has to be in the same directory as Cloudcompare.exe? There is no way to "navigate" to the file via command line options?

Apologies. Found an answer elsewhere and its possible to direct CC to any file location using command line syntax.
