Polylines (dwg) to Point Cloud

Post by BrunaGarcia »

Hello everyone!
I would like to know if we can transform/import polylines (lvl curves) to pointcloud in CC...?
I only found the inverse process....but using GIS programs!

You can load polylines (from DXF of SHP files) and then get the vertices as a point cloud. But you can't 'sample' points on the lines.

And what are these vertices? Because when I open the line it will be...a line?...

Below the polyline in the DB tree (when you expand the branch). The 'vertices' cloud is invisible by default. But you can clone it and enable it so as to get an independent cloud (make sure its targeted 3D view is defined).
