3D PHOTO MODELING

Please i would like to know if there is any procedure for developing a 3D model from photos in cloud compare.

No you have to use external tools (e.g. Visual SFM, Autodesk 123D or Micmac are free)

Oh yes, it's a very good (commercial) tool.

All these tools will basically produce either a point cloud or a triangular mesh.

So please does it mean that Cloud Compare cannot be used for modeling?

It depends on what you mean by 'modelling' but the answer is probably 'yes, CloudCompare is not a (mesh) modelling tool' :D

please could there be the case that cloud/cloud distance
and cloud/mesh distance icons just go off ( they look unenabled in the tools)?

You have to select two entities so that they become enabled: 2 clouds or one cloud and one mesh, or 2 meshes but mind that in this case CloudCompare will only use the vertices of the compared mesh to compute the distances.
