Hi guys
Usually I export a polyline in dxf files, but sometime is needed to export a point cloud (or just a single slice for exemple) in DXF for import it in a CAD. Is it, possible implement this feature?
Thank you
points cloud to DXF
Re: points cloud to DXF
Well, I've added the possibility to save clouds as DXF files (each point is saved an Autocad 'Point' entity).
However don't try to save too many of them as the file will probably grow very fast! And I haven't been able to test the result, I'll let you do it. You can downloaded the latest 2.9 beta version.

Well, if you have downloaded the latest beta, then you should simply select a point cloud and then choose the 'DXF geometry (*.dxf)' filter.

Yes Daniel, I'm working on last 2.9 Beta, but I don't find dxf extension in save option

Oh, just in case you have to use the non-stereo version (I haven't modified the stereo one).

Re: points cloud to DXF
Hallo everybody,
i just refresh this topic since it fits so well to my needs...
Saving as dxf works fine but it is the wrong viewing direction (top view) but i need the front view. It seems to be independent to the current viewing position in the graphic area. So how can I change the viewing direction which is saved in the dxf?
And is there a way to have the color information with that dxf as well?
Sorry if the questions are stupid. I´m new to point clouds because in CAD everything is well defined - usually :-)
best regards
Daniel
