Is there a way to show the LUT(look up table)

Post by bingyu1413 »

Hello!

Is there a way to show a LUT for the cloudpoints?
Such as I selected a cloudpoints and I clicked Edit->Colors->Height Ramp, I use the default setting. And the cloudpoints will be colored with RGB.Then I want to know the color with the height information, such as the scalar field. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks

You can show the color ramp next to the cloud in the 3D view with the 'Visible' checkbox in the 'Color Scale' section of the cloud properties (or use the shift+C shortcut when the cloud is selected).

Sorry,I can't find the 'Visible' checkbox in the 'Color Scale' section of the cloud properties when I only use Edit->Colors->Height Ramp to color the height of the cc object .
The CC Object property is like below:
Name: Matched
visible: yes
show name (in 3D): yes
Colors RGB
Box dimensions ...
Box center ...
......

And I use shift+C ,the console output "No active scalar filed on entity 'Matched' "

Ah, I was thinking that you were using a scalar field. With RGB colors, there's no associated "color ramp".

You can however use the 'Tools > Projection > Export coordinate as SF' to create a scalar field from the Z values (for instance). You'll then be able to customize and display the color ramp associated to the Z coordinate.
