Hello
I am very very beginner at cloud point, but I found the software very user friendly. I just wanted to be able to view cloud points I generated with my Iphone12, and be able to export views from it. I was able to do it.
But what I can't do it, is to have different sizes of the points to signal the distances/volume (the closer to the viewer, the bigger the point, kind of thing). When I upload my .ply file to Sketchfab, for example, they calculate that automatically and I get that in the preview of my cloud point. I would love to get the same with Cloud Compare.
It must be something very easy to do, but I can't find the information.
thank you! (and I am sorry if it is such a beginner's question...)
How to have different sizes of points in same cloud
Re: How to have different sizes of points in same cloud
"Strangely" that's not supported by CloudCompare ;).
Of course any motivated contributor could do it as it's an open source project :p. I guess an OpenGL shader could allow to do that efficiently?
