Hello!

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to ask you directly a question. and thanks to whoever is going to answer!
I need a way to impose a precise measurement when using the segment option. I need to extract a subset from a point cloud (a wall) at it needs to be of a measured length (e.g. 35 cm). How can I do that? any idea? is it even possible?

Have you tried the Cross Section tool? (there you can control the dimensions of the clipping box)

first of all, thank you for your answer! i just tried that, and i could say that it works. the only problem is that i have difficulty in inserting numbers (eg: i need to put as x measure 0.45 but i just can't insert it) and if i toggle with the +/- (up and down) option it moves in both +/- x direction when i need one of the sides to be locked. Anyway, better this way than with the eyes, this way im able to reach a 0.01 m precision which is ok for me! thank you so much

you have to pay attention when changing the values in this kind of fields as they are constrained (in both the range and the precision of the values you can input). You generally have to change the digits one by one, it can get tricky.
