Point cloud load "on top" of each other

Hi all,

Relative newbie here. I have 2 point clouds that i need to work with in CC. I see that it doesnt like working in Geographic coords, so I've re-projected my pointclouds in Global mapper. When i load these into CC, they appear on top of each other. Any idea on what is causing this?

Many thanks in advance,
Rory

What do you mean by 'on top of each other'? Are they overlapping, or is one higher than the other? If they have large coordinates, make sure to use the same Global Shift for both when loading them.

Hi Daniel

Sorry for the lack of details. The cloud was split in two to manage size better. When i reprojected then (using exactly the same transformation) they appear to load on top[ of each other (separated by a slight Z difference) and dont match up.

I have solved the issue using another software but will try again in the near future and let you know if i have the same issue; and also review the global shift used as advised below. Thank you
