Shark Ion Robot R75 Review

Shark brand is famous for floor-cleaning appliances and shark ion robot 750 is a specific product.

Why?

It has many late technological features like Wi-Fi connectivity.

Below are some outstanding features:

Furniture clearance

With 2.6 inches in height, shark r75 is tall enough to quickly move under your furniture that an upright vacuum can’t reach. They include your coffee tables, mattress frames, and couches.

Thanks to the rubber-grip side wheels, you can move your robot on any surfaces, from hardwood floors to carpets, without being stuck.

Less maintenance

Like other robot vacuum cleaners, this machine doesn’t require much maintenance. In particular, the manufacturer knows that it’s straightforward for hair to cling to the reusable filter, so they provide their customers with a cleaning tool to remove hair in this part.

Brush roll and side brushes

This model is designed with 2 side brushes to eliminate all crumbs and dirt from every corner and baseboard. Plus, there is a big brush roll in the centre of the underside that can maintain itself.

Because of applying detangling technology, this model is able to loosen and release long strands of string and hair. Besides, its strong bristles positioned in a helix pattern will pick up and suction dirt, dust, dander, and debris.

Sensors

More than your expectation, this robot vacuum cleaner has multiple “eyes” - sensors that protect your model from falling off your stairs and any high places.

In particular, its proximity sensors can detect objects, pets, and humans on its way. In this case, its front caster wheel will turn to prevent it from hitting obstacles.

Boundaries

The shark ion robot rv750 features 2 BotBoundary connectors and a 9-foot boundary strip when it comes to boundaries.

Let you cut the boundary strip to size by using a pair of scissors, then put it in areas where you don’t want it to enter, like a bustling kitchen or a busy hallway.

In case you own an expensive and delicate area rug, the connectors help you form angles, creating a no-vacuum zone. So, your robot can’t reach this area to ruin your worthy investment.

Battery and working time

This shark ion robot’s high-powered lithium-ion battery offers unwavering suction, resulting in a wonderful performance.

Moreover, this vacuum has a battery-level indicator light that shows you the battery level. The robot vacuum cleaner knows when it needs to be charged to come back to its docks by itself. With a single charge, this model can work around an hour, and it requires around 3 hours to charge.

Apps

Are you an Android or iPhone user?

Both Android and iPhone customers can control this robot vacuum’s functions through their cell phones.

Press Google Play or App Store (depending on your smartphone), then search “SharkClean” to find and download the Shark ION ROBOT app that allows you to control and adjust your robot even when you are far away from home. Below are the details:
  • Start and stop a vacuuming session
  • Tell the machine to come back to the charging dock
  • Locate the vacuum with a find button
  • Choose the spot mode function to clean a mess quickly
  • Customize the cleaning schedule
  • Check the battery’s charge level
Google Home and Amazon Echo

If your phone has the voice-control ability, you can use your voice to tell it to start or pause a cleaning session, even come back to the docking station.

In general, the shark ion 750 is an advanced shark Robo vacuum cleaner with outstanding features that you can’t find in traditional vacuums, such as controlled by voice commands, your phone, avoiding danger thanks to sensors and boundaries.

Ah, hard to tell!

I think it's really a matter of how 'accurate' (or 'inaccurate') the estimation of the total volume as performed by the tool is. Since it sums the volume of individual parallelepipeds (each corresponding to a square cell of the grid, delimited by the 'ground' and 'ceil' values). So maybe we could say that it's a matter of how many non empty cells are used in the computation. If it's thousands, then it's probably good (as the relative error is probably low). While if you only have a few dozen cells, then it's probably very bad.

But clearly that's tricky to give a clear answer as it really depends on the data...

First 2.5D volume calculation tool does not work on multiple layers pointscloud

2.5D volume accuracy depends on
1- How much is your pointscloud dense
2- How much is your pointscloud density regular (homogenous)
3- percent of the projected area to its perimeter

If you use underestimated (GRID STEPS) you get empty cells hence less volume
If you use overestimated (GRID STEPS), you get large cells hence a bigger volume (relatively depends on the percent of the projected area to its perimeter)

Usually, good practice on mesh (using sample points )gives real volume + 0.01%

You can do trials on this attached mesh against a constant 0 plane by changing (GRID STEPS)

Take care if you use pointscloud from GNSS (UTM projection )
CloudComapre does not support UTM projection nor very big coordinates (typically greater than 10e5)
even some files format does not support very big coordinates (typically greater than 10e5)

The yellow area around the perimeter shows extra volume (not true)If you use overestimated (GRID STEPS)
