FACETS plugin problem

Post by pete_chand »

Hi, I'd like to ask a few question about FACETS plugin in my models.
So, after you process the models with FACETS, the visualization of the measurements should looks like a bunch of patches.
But, my results accidentally turn into a bunch of small lines that trace the discontinuity plane on my models (as below)

Now I want to do a measurement with FACETS again and now I intended to purposely to get that small line result, not patches like normally (as below)

Is there any parameters or steps to get that results?

Steps that I've done to get that small line measurement was Import point cloud - Georeferencing (using Align in Registration Tool) - then FACETS.
In my recent projects, I've done the same steps but instead i got that patches result like normally.
I look formward if anybody can help me with this problem.

Is it maybe just the way facets are displayed? Because normally a 'facet' is a composition of a solid polygon and its contour polyline. So maybe you were just visualizing the contour polylines?

Not sure how you did that though (or maybe it was a bug?!). If you right click on the group containing all the facets, you can use the 'Select children by type and/or name', and then select all the meshes, and eventually use the 'a' shortcut to disable all the selected meshes.
