How does one ZOOM IN on a location on a point cloud?
My point Clouds are now 300+ million points and zooming in with the scroll wheel is 'painful'. Worked fine until the point clouds got this huge.
Initially, I was expecting to create a rectangle on a section of the point cloud like in a CAD programs, and then have CC magnify that selection to full screen. Unfortunately, the LOUPE button does just the opposite - it zooms out to the extent of the point cloud.
Is there a function within CloudCompare that allows a CAD style ZOOM IN display function? Or am I stuck to using the mouse scroll wheel to ZOOM IN?
Thanks.
Using CAD style ZOOM Window
Re: Using CAD style ZOOM Window
Ah no, we don't have such a feature.
Something that can help is to press the middle button/wheel and then move the mouse up and dow to zoom in or out. This generally goes faster than the wheel mouse.

DUH!! Of course. I now remember that feature from the tutorials. I spend so much time in CAD that I forgot all about that functionality. "Muscle memory".
Thanks for the reminder.
