Errors in computations (due to perfectly flat point cloud?)

Post by jfhullo »

Hi there,

I've noticed some miscalculation of Curvature and Normals when the point cloud seems perfectly plane.

Fisrt example is a curvature computation where some grey values appears:

Second example is a fail in computing normals :

My guess is that perfectly horizontal areas leads to a miscalculation of these informations.

What's your opinion?
