Hi everyone. Is there any way to cut a point cloud according to a plane? Is it possible to do this on cloud compare? If not, is there any other software that allows me to do this? I know I can do this by drawing a polyline, changing the view, and using the "segment" tool, but the plane that interests me has a particular inclination.
Thanks.

Re: Cut the point cloud with a plane.
So you can create a plane (with 'Edit > Plane > Create' or the Primitive factory). Make it large, larger than the cloud.
Then you can compute distances between the cloud and this plane (ideally with the 'Tools > Distances > Cloud/Primitive dist.' tool as it's more accurate).
And last you can segment the cloud based on the resulting distances (with 'Edit > Scalar fields > Filter by value') using zero as one of the boundaries.

You can import csv containing 4 points of plane
meshing then distance to mesh
meshing then distance to mesh
